Chief Minister Pramod Sawant laid the foundation stone of the Center of Excellence project under Tata Technologies at ITI Altinho

Panaji: Pramod Sawant, the chief minister of Goa, laid the cornerstone for the Tata Technologies Ltd.-sponsored Center of Excellence Project at ITI Altinho in Panjim, Goa.

In the presence of Education Secretary Prasad Lolyekar, Director of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship SS Gaonkar, Tata Technologies South India Head Prashant Handigund, IMC Chairman Gaurish Dhond, and other dignitaries, the Goa Chief Minister also virtually laid the foundation for centers at five locations on Thursday.

Bicholim, Vasco, Farmagudi, Cacora, and Mapusa are the five locations.

Tata Technologies and the Goa government are working together on the 214 crore renovation project at ITIs. Tata Technologies will be investing 214 crore, while the Goa government will contribute 49 crore.

According to Sawant, his administration is unwavering in its resolve to provide the state’s ITIs with infrastructure.

He said that he is certain the Centers of Excellence would help young people obtain the skills they need to find work and create jobs.
“I extend my warmest greetings and congratulations to DSDE and Tata Technologies on their effort to build the Center of Excellence in Goa. The Goan government is unwavering in its resolve to provide the state’s ITIs with infrastructure. “I have no doubt that the Centers of Excellence will help young people develop the skills they need to find work and create jobs,” Sawant said in a post on X.

Earlier in the day, Sawant honored all of the martyrs on Martyrs Day at Azad Maidan Panaji, with Goa Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai in attendance.

The Sci-Fi Science Film Festival of India, which was organized by Vidnyan Parishad Goa in Panaji, was officially opened earlier on Wednesday by Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.

“This Science Film Festival of India is celebrating science, innovation, and the spirit of curiosity,” the chief minister of Goa said. This year’s theme, ‘Green Revolution,’ inspires young minds while highlighting the way to a sustainable future.
