India's salary landscape is shifting rapidly as booming industries, rising talent hubs, and surging demand reshape pay scales. As per Randstad's Annual Salary Trends Report, while metro cities like Bengaluru and Mumbai continue to dominate, tier-2 cities are making a powerful entry, challenging the status quo. With technology leading the way and paychecks growing across levels, the country's workforce is witnessing a transformation like never before.

As India progresses towards becoming a $5 trillion economy, Randstad's Annual Salary Trends Report 2024-25 sheds light on the rising salaries across the nation.

Bengaluru dominates junior and middle management salaries in tier-1 cities, with average CTCs of INR 7.22 lakhs and INR 19.04 lakhs, respectively.

It ranks second for senior roles, offering INR 36.46 lakhs on average. The city remains a top talent hub, especially in IT, manufacturing, and FMCG sectors.

Mumbai, on the other hand, leads in senior-level positions, offering the highest CTC at INR 38.85 lakhs. It also ranks second for middle management roles with INR 18.37 lakhs, driven by its strong commercial positioning and major multinational corporations.

Interestingly, tier-2 cities are catching up. Bhopal, Mysore, and Kanpur are making a significant debut, securing the #2, #3, and #4 spots in junior salaries, while Surat, Nashik, and Bhubaneswar have emerged as leaders in senior and middle management salaries.

The report highlights a continued rise in technology-related jobs, with over 70% of hot jobs in technology

As Bengaluru attracts highly skilled talent, other cities like Ahmedabad and Chennai maintain strong positions in senior and middle management salaries.

With India's focus on decongesting metro cities, there is a growing need to create more jobs in tier-2 cities, where quality of life is better and cost of living is lower.

This shift in salary trends is a testament to India's evolving economic landscape and the increasing importance of the services sector in the nation's growth.
