reportedly told that they could "play some more" in an email shared two months after .

Emails, which were handed to a court in London, showed that the pair were still exchanging messages in February 2011.

In one email, Andrew wrote: "Keep in close contact and we'll play some more soon."

It had previously been claimed that had cut contact in December 2010 after they were pictured walking through Central Park in New York City.

The pair reportedly agreed to cease contact the day after a photograph from 2001 was published which appeared to show Andrew, now 64, with his arm around then-17-year-old Virginia Giuffre.

Virginia has claimed that she had been sex trafficked by Epstein, who died by suicide whilst awaiting trail in August 2019. Ghislaine Maxwell is a socialite and accomplice of Jeffrey Epstein. The 63-year-old was jailed for 20 years in 2022 for conspiring with Epstein to sexually abuse children.

The emails exchanged also showed that Epstein remained in contact with Lord Mandelson - the new UK ambassador to Washington - until at least August 2012.

To settle her civil claim for sex assault, Andrew paid Virginia a reported total of £13million [$16million] in 2022. There was no admission that there was any wrongdoing on Andrew's part.

The emails, according to Bloomberg, had been disclosed in a filing by the Financial Conduct Authority [FCA]. This was then defending an appeal by Jes Staley - the former boss of Barclays Bank - to the Upper Tribunal.

After misleading statements about Epstein and their last contact, Jes was later fined £1.8million and banned from holding a senior mangaement position in financial services in 2023.

The FCA document referred to Andrew as a "member of the British Royal Family". Email exchanges then showed that Epstein had invited Andrew out with Jes Staley in June 2010. In the email exchange, Epstein wrote: "He told me he ran into you tonight."

After Andrew claimed that he was "having dinner with Jes tomorrow evening" in one email, Epstein wrote - on February 27 2011 - that Jes "will be in London on next tue afternoon, if you have time." To which, Andrew replied, 'Keep in close touch and we'll play some more soon."

Buckingham Palace and Mr Mandelson have been approached for comment.
