About Mahakumbh Mela
The Mahakumbh Mela is among the largest spiritual gatherings in the world. The fair attracts millions of devotees who come to bathe in the sacred rivers. Due to the massive crowds, Prayagraj experiences severe traffic congestion, and the city has been declared a no-vehicle zone during the event to manage the situation. This new bus service is expected to alleviate some of these travel challenges by offering a dedicated and reliable transport option for pilgrims.
As per reports, the festival is expected to attract some 45 crore devotees in 45 days! It is one of the largest religious gatherings that happens once in a lifetime that is attracting devotees and visitors from across the globe.
With the introduction of this service, BSRTC hopes to ease the travel burden on visitors, ensuring they can participate in the Mahakumbh Mela without the hassle of navigating crowded roads. This initiative is part of an effort to provide efficient and hassle-free transportation during one of the most significant spiritual events in India.
