Pakistani actor, singer Ali Zafar, who has acted in several Hindi movies, recently revealed that he almost turned down Ali Abbas Zafar's 2011 directorial Mere Brother Ki Dulhan as he felt like a 'kabab mein haddi' between Katrina Kaif and Imran Khan's characters.Speaking to Mashable Middle East, Ali shared that producer Aditya Chopra, who produced the film under his banner Yash Raj Films, convinced him to be a part of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan."Aditya Chopra convinced me and said, 'Don’t think of it like that; you can really make it.' I said, 'I’m playing a boring banker, two people in love, which I can't do. Aditya said, 'Don’t think of it like that. Give it a thought, read it again.' So, I went, thought about it, and then I said to him, 'If you let me play the character like that, like a flamboyant, charming guy, love, and happiness both,' he said, 'Yes, that is exactly how I envision it too.'"He added, "So, then I said, 'Fine, let’s do this.' It was a beautiful experience. It was such an amazing experience—Ali Abbas Zafar, his set, Katrina, Imran, the whole cast, friendship with everyone, fun. It was a lot of fun shooting that film. It was very easy for me."Apart from Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Ali Zafar has also starred in several Hindi films including Tere Bin Laden, London, Paris, New York, Chashme Baddoor, Total Siyapaa with Yami Gautam, and Dear Zindagi with Alia Bhatt, among others.
