Matt Tebbutt made a surprising revelation about Saturday Kitchen when Adam Hills, the comedian from The Last Leg, pressed him for details on Saturday's show.
The episode broadcast on February 1st saw Matt, 51, divulging show filming details after being quizzed by the Aussie funnyman, 54.
Following an expression of admiration from Adam who was "seriously impressed" by Matt's multitasking, including cooking dishes, managing camera presence, and interviewing guests at the same time, Matt shared show details.
"Can I just say this is the most impressive thing I have ever seen," Adam lauded, to which Matt with a broad grin responded: "Isn't it?" Adam didn't hold back his applause as he remarked: "If I'm cooking at home, I can't even hold a conversation. I'm like 'nope, just don't even ask me a question I need to focus on this.'"
Adam kept on showering compliments with: "You're doing this while kind of hosting a TV show," eliciting Matt's admission: "Do you know what? I am like that at home, I hate people talking to me. I hate it.", reports .
Then Matt added: "And everyone just wants to chat and I'm like 'go away'."
Adam sympathised, suggesting that perhaps Matt yearned for some peace from chit-chat during home cooking, agreeing: "If that happens at home for you you're like 'I do this in front of cameras'."
Matt revealed his secret to multitasking during filming in a surprising admission. "It's only because we've practised this about three times, I can do it with my eyes shut," he confessed.
This isn't the first time the host has made an unexpected on-air revelation. Earlier this year, viewers were shocked when Matt broke show rules.
Regular watchers will know that asking guests about their favourite and least favourite meals is a beloved tradition since the show's inception.
This feature allows viewers at home to interact with the show by voting for either food heaven or hell for the celebrity guests. Joining the presenter were I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star Jordan North, along with Sian Welby, and Chris Stark.
The group unanimously agreed that "pub grub" would be their food heaven. Matt had two dishes ready for his guests - an enticing pie and a less appetising Kipper Hash breakfast as the less desirable option.
In a break from the usual routine, Matt hinted early that the trio might be facing their dreaded dish based on the current vote count, saying: "We're heading towards fish at the moment," much to his guests' disappointment.
Saturday Kitchen airs each Saturday on BBC One from 10am.
