New Delhi: Abhishek Sharma dazzled at the Wankhede Stadium during the 5th T20I against England setting a new record for Indias highest individual score with an explosive 135 runs off just 54 balls. He broke Shubman Gills previous record of 126* against New Zealand in Ahmedabad in 2023. Abhisheks remarkable innings featured 7 boundaries and 13 sixes before Adil Rashid dismissed him in the 18th over. Earlier Abhishek achieved the second-fastest century for India reaching the milestone in just 37 balls. After India was put to bat he took charge following the dismissal of his partner Sanju Samson. Abhishek punished Jofra Archer for a boundary and two sixes in the third over and then targeted Mark Wood and Jamie Overton.
