Alf-Inge Haaland took to social media to aim a dig at minutes after the Gunners thrashed and his son 5-1.

The City striker, who equalised at 1-1 before goals from Thomas Partey, Myles Lewis-Skelly, and Ethan Nwaneri, was also spotted pointing to his champion badge on the side of his kit at full-time.

And in response to mass celebrations at the Emirates, Haaland Snr wrote: "«This Team» that wins everything. Ehhhhh, not."

The message was in reply to the official account, who posted a photo of which was captioned: "THIS TEAM".

But both Haalands have seemingly taken pointed swipes over Arsenal not winning a league title since their Invincibles season of 2003/04, with City winning six of the last seven campaigns.

But this time Arsenal took the spoils in an edgy encounter, sparked by a brawl in their previous meeting centred around Haaland himself, when he clashed with Gabriel and Lewis-Skelly.

That rivalry was renewed once again when the Brazilian centre-back was seen celebrating in Haaland's face when gave the hosts the lead in the first half.

Haaland could be forgiven for thinking he was en route to making Gabriel look silly with that gesture, rising high above William Saliba to meet Savinho's cross and equalise.

At 1-1, many would have thought that City were the more likely winners. But Haaland struggled for touches again and the Gunners took control of the second half.

Rubbing salt into the wounds, at full-time the Emirates DJ played Kendrick Lamar's 'Humble' song around the stadium, mocking Haaland's jab at the Arsenal team in their last match.

Following a 2-2 draw at the Etihad in September, Haaland told to "stay humble" in a full-time confrontation with Gabriel Jesus.

That phrase was seemingly not forgotten in north London, where the Norwegian striker was on the receiving end of his own humbling, despite his father's insistence that Arsenal have yet to record a significant achievement since Haaland's arrival to the Premier League.
