Delhi School Holiday: Voting for the assembly elections is going to be held in Delhi on 5 February 2025 and there is confusion about the holidays of schools in the capital. Preparations for the elections are going on in full swing, due to which the question arises in the minds of many students and parents whether schools will remain closed in Delhi on February 5 or not.

Will Delhi schools remain closed on February 5?

At present, no official order has been issued regarding the closure of schools on the day of assembly elections in Delhi. However, it is expected that there may be holidays in government schools. A notification can be issued on this by the Directorate of Education (DoE) of Delhi.

Holidays of government offices on the day of elections

According to the Department of Personnel and Training, central government offices will remain closed in areas where state assembly elections are being held. The aim is to allow citizens to participate in the democratic process.

Holidays already due to pollution

Holidays have already been declared several times in schools this year due to rising levels of pollution in Delhi. Under the GRAP 3 guidelines, it was advised to adopt hybrid learning for students up to Class 5, so that students can choose between offline and online classes.

Parents and students are advised to stay connected with the Delhi government or education department to get information about new announcements related to school closures during the assembly elections.
