The MahaKumbh 2025 witnessed its third grand Amrit Snan on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami. Over 1.65 million devotees gathered at Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj at 4 AM on Monday, seeking spiritual liberation through a sacred dip in the holy waters.

As saints and seers immersed themselves in the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati, flower petals were showered upon them, creating a mesmerizing sight.

The Amrit Snan holds deep significance in Hindu traditions, with devotees believing that bathing in the river during celestial alignments purifies the soul and paves the way for moksha (salvation).

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath closely monitored the event from his official war room, ensuring the smooth execution of the massive gathering. His continuous coordination with officials helped maintain security and order.

While the Amrit Snan is the grandest ritual of the Maha Kumbh, two other major bathing dates remain:

• February 12 – Maghi Purnima
• February 26 – Maha Shivratri (culmination of Maha Kumbh)

As the Maha Kumbh progresses, millions continue to seek divine blessings, making it one of the most significant spiritual gatherings in the world.
