Let us know what is this Atal Lab and how much benefit will the students get from it.
What is Atal Tinkering Lab?
Atal Lab comes under the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM). It is a major initiative of the Government of India, which has been started to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the country. The goal of these laboratories is to provide innovative skills to the students in schools for the future. To improve the educational quality in secondary schools, NITI Aayog has planned to set up an Atal Lab in government schools.
How much benefit will the students get?
Actually, the main objective of setting up Atal Tinkering Lab is to make innovation and technology accessible to students across the country, so that they do not lag behind the world in any matter. Schools are selected for setting up Atal Lab and then labs are built there, then students are told and taught about new technologies.
In these laboratories, students are told about 3D printers, robotics, electronics development tools and sensors etc., how they are made, how they work. This increases the understanding of students about technology and they can do better in the field of innovation and technology in future.
The government says that the establishment of Atal Tinkering Labs in schools is a revolutionary change in the field of education. This initiative started in the name of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has been helpful in giving a new shape to the educational landscape of India.
