Kailash Mansarovar Yatra: China has decided to restart the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. Kailash Mansarovar has great importance in Sanatan Dharma. It is said that Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati still reside on Mount Kailash. Mount Kailash is one of the biggest peaks of the Himalayas. Important information 

Mount Kailash is located in the Tibet autonomous region of China. This mountain is a center of faith for Hindus as well as Buddhists, Jains and Buddhists. Thousands of people reach here. The journey to Kailash Mansarovar starts from Uttarakhand, Sikkim and Tibet. Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) takes the responsibility of the security of this journey. Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN) and Sikkim Tourism Development Corporation (KPVN) provide support and assistance to the people traveling to Kailash. The fitness test of the people going on the journey is done by 'Delhi Heart and Lung Institute'. 

 

 

How to register?

For Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, you can register online on the website of the Ministry of External Affairs. For the journey, keep a passport size photo, first and last page photo of the passport, phone number and email with you. It takes at least 25 days to complete this journey. At the same time, it can cost you 1.5 to 3 lakhs. If the traveler is found unfit, his journey can be cancelled. 

Fees and fare for travel 

  • According to the website of the Ministry of External Affairs, for the trip, first of all you will have to pay a fee of Rs 32,000 to KMVN, in which you will have to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 5,000 through demand draft to confirm the trip. You can pay the remaining Rs 27,000 after coming to Delhi. 
  •  
  • There will be a Chinese visa fee of Rs 2,400 and a fitness test fee of Rs 3,100 will have to be paid to the Delhi Heart and Lung Institute. On the request of the medical authority, you will have to pay Rs 2,500 for the stress echo test. 
  • For staying, you will have to pay Rs 48,861 to the Chinese authorities in Tibet. This will include immigration fees, food, luggage transportation, horse fare, entry tickets for Kailash, Mansarovar and temple. 
  • You will have to pay a total porter charge of Rs 8,904 for both sides from the Indian side. Apart from this, you will have to pay Rs 10,666 for the pony (small horse) with pony handler, return from Narayan Ashram to Lipulekh Pass and hiring of pony and porter in Dharchula. 
  • From the Chinese side, a fee of Rs 3,600 will have to be paid for the porter on both sides. In Tibet, the cost of circumambulation of Kailash, pony and porter hire will be Rs 10,500. 
  • A fee of Rs 2000 will have to be paid for group activities. Apart from this, Rs 20,000 will have to be paid for food, clothes, food stores and other travel related expenses in Tibet.
