Lok Adalat 2025: All challans will be forgiven next month! You will benefit in this court
If you want to get rid of all your pending challans, then the court is made for you. You can go to this court and appeal to get your challans waived or their fines reduced. Here your case is heard with patience. The first Lok Adalat of the year is going to be held on 8 March. In this court, you can settle the fines imposed on you. For this, you just have to complete a small process.
These invoices will be waived
In Lok Adalat, you can settle only those cases which are filed for breaking normal traffic rules. This includes breaking traffic rules as well as not wearing seat belt, not wearing helmet, jumping red light etc.
But keep one thing in mind that the vehicle on which your challan has been issued should not be involved in any accident or criminal case. If any kind of case is going on against it, its hearing cannot be done in Lok Adalat. You will have to go to the court for this matter.
Not all challans are forgiven in Lok Adalat
- You can settle your challan in the Lok Adalat of the place where it was issued. You cannot settle a challan issued in Delhi in the Lok Adalat of Noida.
- If your challan is issued for any reason other than breaking the normal traffic rule, then its payment is neither reduced nor waived.
- If you are found drinking and driving, the fine is forgiven with great difficulty. Driving under influence of alcohol means putting yourself and all the people around you in danger.
- If you do not reach the Lok Adalat on time, you may have to return with your challan in hand. Try to reach half an hour before the time mentioned in the appointment letter.
