Madhya Pradesh: Gwalior Tehsildar's Alleged 'Fourth Wife' Reaches SP Office, Claims Threats To Her & 11-Year-Old Child

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): Tehsildar Shatrughan Singh Chauhan has returned to the spotlight after his ‘fourth wife’ reached the Gwalior police, demanding his immediate arrest, as reported on Wednesday.

She alleged that Chauhan is threatening her and her child’s life, yet the police have not arrested him. However, officials state that efforts are being made to apprehend him, and a reward for his capture may soon be announced.

Chauhan, a controversial figure

In fact, tehsildar Shatrughan Singh Chauhan has been a controversial figure throughout his postings in Madhya Pradesh. He was often involved in legal disputes. 

Amidst the same, a woman claiming to be his fourth wife alleged that Chauhan had been sexually exploiting her since 2008. In 2010, he allegedly applied sindoor (vermilion) on her head at the Ratangarh Mata Temple, signifying marriage.

She further states that he lived with her at different locations wherever he was posted and maintained a physical relationship with her. In 2013, she gave birth to his son, who is now 11 years old. She has also stated that a DNA test can confirm the child’s paternity.

Police investigation on 

Meanwhile, the police assert that they are investigating the claims and are conducting raids at various locations in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh to find him.

Chauhan is currently absconding in a rape case registered in Gwalior. Prior to this, he already had 16 serious charges against him, including murder, attempted murder, loot, and dacoity, in MP’s Bhind and UP’s Etawah. 

The rape case in Gwalior marks the 17th case against him, and authorities are intensifying efforts to bring him to justice.
