I practice yoga multiple times a week at various classes at my gym and in the comfort of my own home. What you wear is crucial, as you have to ensure you can move freely and feel comfortable in every pose.

I've always worn straight-leg gym leggings to practice yoga, however I was intrigued when I spotted H&M has launched new . I was given the opportunity to put the leggings to the test, and I can happily say I will never look back.

The high waist leggings are available in sizes XS to XXL and come in two stylish colours; dark brown and black. Priced at £37.99, they have been designed to 'enhance your natural shape' and the wide waist panel has a useful concealed pocket inside.

When I first tried on the , I was delighted by how soft and light the fabric felt against my skin compared to my straight-leg gym leggings that are all made from a thicker material. They looked flattering as they skimmed over my tummy nicely (an area I'm quite self-conscious about), and you couldn't see the outline of my underwear at all.

The length was perfect for me (I'm 5'8") with the flared bottoms finishing just below my heels. I first wore the leggings for a quick morning yoga session at home where I did a Vinyasa Flow practice comprising several poses which gave me a feel of how the leggings would perform at a more vigorous class.

The material is very comfortable and flexible, so the leggings moved with me as I transitioned through the poses. As the leggings are made from a stretchy fabric and fit my body perfectly, they didn't restrict my movement at all.

I was so impressed with the leggings that I wore them later that day to attend a Slow Flow Yoga class at my gym. This would be the ultimate test for the leggings, as the class is quite tough with it including more complex postures that have to be held for longer.

Usually I find myself having to stop to pull up my gym leggings after certain poses, however, much to my delight, the stayed put for the entire one hour class - I didn't have to adjust them once. This has been game-changing for me, as there's nothing more frustrating than having to stop your yoga flow to unattractively yank up your leggings.

I thought the lower flared section of the leggings may fall up my legs when they are in the air for certain poses such as Three-Legged Downward Dog, but this wasn't the case. They stayed put, comfortably hugging my legs and not bunching up at all.

The Slow Flow Yoga class was a tough workout that made the upper half of my body feel hot, but my legs stayed cool thanks to the H&M leggings being made from a lightweight breathable fabric. I plan on buying more of the , as I'll be wearing them for all yoga classes and practices from now on.

Although the length of the leggings is perfect for me, some shoppers may find them too short or long depending on your height. Unfortunately they're only available in one length, so this is something worth noting.

You can buy the Flared Yoga Leggings With Softmove Lycra from H&M . If you'd like to browse similar leggings, Next is selling priced at £28. These are available in black and grey and are made from a stretch fabric with a wrap waist and an elasticated waistband.
