Manchester United defender spoke of his desire to get back to playing "good football" again after completing a loan move to PSV Eindhoven.

Malacia completed his move after the transfer window shut for English clubs, with . An earlier planned loan to Benfica collapsed at the eleventh hour, only for PSV to step in and bring the former Feyenoord man back to the Eredivisie.

The left-back missed the entire 2023-24 season through injury, but has been available again this term. He has been used sparingly by Ruben Amorim, though, playing just 99 minutes in the .

He'll hope for more action in Eindhoven, where manager Peter Bosz could use him behind former star Ivan Perisic down the left flank. And, after being on the fringes of a bottom-half team in England, Malacia appears pleased to be joining a title challenger with the prospect of more regular football. Indeed, he appeared to aim a subtle dig at Amorim by claiming: "Finally playing good football again."

"I'm happy to be here. Finally playing good football again," the defender told club media. "I am coming off a long injury, but by now I am fit and know that my time will come again.

"In every tough period there are also positive elements and in this case that is that I have become much stronger physically and mentally. I have more patience, am more mature, know my body better and things like that. I'm ready to pop and hopefully win several prizes with PSV."

PSV sit top of the Eredivisie, having scored 68 times in their 21 league games. They are also through to the play-off round, where they will take on for a chance to face either or Inter Milan in the round of 16.

Malacia's move comes just days after . Former Lecce star Dorgu is set to occupy the left wing-back role for Ruben Amorim's side, after Malacia was tried out in the role for a handful of games.
