Former Boston Celtics and Turkish national team star Semih Erden retires at 38

Veteran Turkish basketball player Semih Erden, who played for NBA teams Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers, as well as numerous clubs in the Turkish Basketball Super League—including FenerbahceBesiktas, Anadolu Efes, and most recently Bursaspor—has announced his retirement at the age of 38. Semih Erden has been a professional basketball player since 2003.

In an emotional farewell message on social media, Erden described his decision as one of the most difficult yet meaningful choices of his life:
