Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Announces ₹1 Crore To Gongadi Trisha After ICC Women's U19 T20 World Cup Victory

India’s Under-19 Women’s cricket team won the ICC U19 T20 World Cup for the second time, defeating South Africa in the final in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.India women cricketer Gongadi Trisha, who played a key role in the victory, met Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at his residence in Jubilee Hills on February 5. The CM congratulated her on her performance and announced a reward of Rs 1 crore for her. He also awarded Rs 10 lakh to Dhrithi Kesari, who was part of the squad but didn’t play in the tournament. Additionally, team head coach Nooshin Al Khadeer and trainer Shalini received Rs 10 lakh each.G Trisha's stunning performance in ICC U19 T20 World CupTrisha was the tournament's top run-scorer, amassing 309 runs at an average of 77.25 and a strike rate of 147.14. She became the first batter in the tournament's history to score a century, achieving the feat against Scotland. She also took seven wickets at an economy rate of 3.75, including two three-wicket hauls.In the final against South Africa, Trisha took three wickets and then scored an unbeaten 44 off 33 balls, helping India chase down 83 runs with ease. She was one of four Indians named in the Team of the Tournament, along with G Kamalini, Aayushi Shukla, and Vaishnavi Sharma.
