Avery Colvert, 14, from Pasadena, set up the Altadena Teen Girls Fire Recovery to gather beauty and other personal supplies for young girls affected by the fires.

This week, the teenager spoke to and praised Meghan for her efforts to help those affected, dubbing her "incredibly kind" and "inspiring".

But she also revealed that the Duchess " got stylist training" so she could help the young girls pick out outfits and accessories.

The 14-year-old told the outlet: "Meghan is so incredibly kind. She was so excited to help.

"For all the girls that were coming in, they got to be styled by Meghan Markle."

She added that Prince Harry's wife "came in with bags of clothing from her own closet" and stayed there "for multiple hours in a day".

Meanwhile, Avery's stepdad, Chait, claimed Meghan even helped by "carrying out bags to people's cars."

He thanked Meghan and Prince Harry's charity, Archewell, for continuing "to open lots of doors for us and make connections" beyond that day.

He also revealed that it helped secure the building for the teen charity's new permanent space in Pasadena.

Last month, Harry and Meghan released a statement urging people to "open their homes" to those evacuated and "check in" on any of their "disabled or elderly neighbours".

The statement also included a list of fire service charities, animal groups, and other initiatives to support those affected.
