has returned to social media after stepping down from last year following allegations of misconduct - which he has strongly denied.

The 60-year-old posted a video of what appears to be a recipe for protein pancakes, adding the caption: "easy n healthy Gregg Wallace Health."

He also shared a sunrise over a river on his official story, adding the words 'Good Morning.' Many of his followers flooded the comments section with reactions to his return.

One person said: "Great to see you back Gregg." A second person also chimed in: "It's nice to see you Gregg, I'm so glad you're back. I wish you a happy life with lots of smiles with your beautiful family..."

Last year, Wallace stepped back from hosting the BBC cookery show MasterChef amid

In response to the allegations, he defended himself on Instagram against the "13 complaints" from "over 4,000 contestants" he has worked with during his two decades on all variations of 'MasterChef.'

Gregg said, "The complaints [are] coming from a handful of middle-class women of a certain age just from 'Celebrity MasterChef'."

His remarks sparked widespread backlash online, prompting the TV star to apologise. In a video on Monday (02.12.24), he said, "I want to apologise for any offence that I caused with my post yesterday and any upset I may have caused to a lot of people."

It has since been confirmed that critic Grace Dent has replaced Gregg and will present alongside John Torode on MasterChef.

Grace admitted it was a "dream come true" to be asked to fill the former greengrocer's shoes, but she felt a slight hint of trepidation about taking over.

The BBC confirmed Grace's appointment last year as David Ambler, the executive editor of 'MasterChef', said she would be a "great asset" for the programme.
