The 1958 left-hand drive Cadillac sedan was initially bought by film producer K Balaji Mohanlals father-in-law and featured in several films he produced. Originally based in Chennai the car was later relocated to Kochi by Mohanlal who initiated its restoration. Initially maroon the sedan was restored by Flamingo Garage in Kochi and subsequently repainted to maintain its quality. Although details about when K Balaji acquired the luxury sedan from Dhirubhai Ambani remain unclear the vehicle is registered under the number MAS 2100. Superstar Mohanlals collection boasts an impressive array of luxury vehicles including the Hindustan Ambassador MK4 Range Rover Autobiography Toyota Land Cruiser and Toyota Innova Crysta among others.
