CBSE Board Passing Marks: The board examinations of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) are starting next week. CBSE Board Class 10th and 12th examinations are starting from 15 February 2025. The examinations of both the classes of CBSE Board i.e. 10th and 12th are starting. CBSE has released the CBSE 10th, and 12th Admit Card 2025 for board examinations. Regular students of the CBSE board will get the admit card from their respective schools. At the same time, students of CBSE private schools will have to download their admit cards from the official website of the board, . Let the students appearing in the CBSE board exam know that this year also the board has not made any change in the passing criteria. To pass CBSE 10th, the student will need at least 35 percent marks in each subject. Students have to get these marks by combining theory and practical examination/project / internal assessment. At the same time, to pass the CBSE Board Class 12th Examination 2025, students must have at least 33 percent marks in each subject overall.

No Topper, No Division

The CBSE Board will not announce the name of any topper this year as well. Neither will the CBSE disclose the division, percentage and aggregate marks of the student in the 10th, 12th result. Let us tell you that the CBSE Board has not been announcing the names of the toppers of class 10th, 12th for the last two years. The student has to guess the marks obtained in CBSE 10th or 12th according to the grade.

What is the CBSE grading system?

The CBSE Board has been giving grades to the students instead of marks in the CBSE Board Result for the last two years. Marks can be estimated only from grades. For example, if a student gets an A1 grade, it means that he has got 91%-100% marks. If a student gets an A2 grade, it means that he has got 81%-90% marks.
