Star Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja got the better off Joe Root in the first ODI against England at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur.
Root was trapped leg before by the left-arm spinner in the 19th over of England's innings.
England opted to bat first and were off to a flier before India bounced back.
Root's dismissal saw England get reduced to 111/4.
