A group of rugby enthusiasts had their Six Nations experience marred when they were regrettably splattered with vomit by an inebriated spectator at the Aviva Stadium, forcing them to depart Ireland's triumphant clash against England prematurely.

The Irish team kicked off their Six Nations campaign magnificently last Saturday with a 27-22 victory over England, capturing a bonus-point win in Dublin and delivering a remarkable start under interim head coach Simon Easterby with tries from Jamison Gibson-Park, Bundee Aki, Tadhg Beirne, and Dan Sheehan.

However, for one group, their revelry was cut short. Speaking to RTE's Liveline, an individual named Simon recounted the unpleasant event: "At the match on Saturday, just sitting in the south stand having a bit of fun.

"There were a bunch of young lads behind us, didn't know them from Adam, but they were enjoying the beer and lots more beer on the way through and with about 10 or 15 minutes to go, one of them just decided to barf all over us."

He lamented that although he escaped the mess, his friends weren't as lucky and had to vacate their seats early: "Well missed me but got two or three of my friends and they all had to leave 10-15 minutes early. Not a sorry from them, not a nothing, they just got up and left and just left a stinking mess behind them.

"The worst of the worst. That's the worst outcome. Now it won't stop me from going to matches again, but I'll certainly be looking carefully over my shoulder."

Simon expressed his openness to the idea of banning alcohol from the stands at football matches, following a recent incident. He remarked: "I'm coming to the conclusion that maybe there is an argument for not bringing beer to your seats.

"By all means go out to the bar at half-time or in the middle of the match if you're bored, go out and have a pint, do whatever you're doing, but it's the constant up and down and spilling beer on people and obviously what happened on Saturday is just one step too far really."
