Irving Domingo Lorenzo Jr., known professionally as Irv Gotti, the renowned American record producer, passed away on February 5, 2024, at the age of 54.
In a statement issued late Wednesday, his company Def Jam Recordings, the parent company of Murder Inc., confirmed Gotti's death. The news was also published by TMZ, People, and The Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday. However, they did not reveal the cause of death and instead cited anonymous sources.
Gotti's agents acknowledged in August of last year that he had experienced a "minor stroke" at the beginning of 2024. However, they also mentioned that he had been successful in achieving a full recovery. Apart from this, he was also battling diabetes.

After his death, he left behind his ex-wife, Debbie Lorenzo, a renowned hat designer and social worker, and the couple's three children named Angie, Sonny, and Jonathan "JJ" Wilson Gotti. Due to problems in their marriage, they separated in 2013, mostly as a result of Irv's alleged infidelity.
