In today's era, hybrid cars are becoming increasingly popular because these are more fuel-skilled and environmentally friendly than traditional petrol cars, but many people have the question that if petrol is over, what is the question. Will the hybrid car still run? The answer depends on what type of hybrid technology your car is based on.

Mild Hybrid Car

Mild hybrid cars use a small battery and electric motor to support the petrol engine. These cars cannot run completely on the battery, but resort to electric motors to reduce fuel consumption. If the petrol is exhausted, the mild hybrid car will not be able to move forward.

Full hybrid car

Full hybrid cars have a combination of both electric motor and petrol engines. These cars can run in electric mode for some distance at low speed, but as soon as the battery is discharged, petrol engine is required. If there is no petrol in the tank and there is no battery charge, then this car will not run either.

Plug-in hybrid car

Plug-in hybrid cars have large batteries, which can be charged with external charger. These cars can run in electric mode for long distances even without petrol. If the battery is fully charged, the car can run for a few kilometers despite the end of petrol.

Should you always keep the tank full?

If your hybrid car is mild or full hybrid, then you may find it difficult to end petrol. Plug-in hybrid cars can provide some relief if the battery charged, but petrol will be necessary for long distances. Therefore, it is necessary to always keep enough fuel in the tank, so that there is no problem in any situation.
