One such example is Girish Kumar who despite a big launch couldnt establish himself as a successful actor. However while his acting career was short-lived his journey as a businessman turned out to be an incredible success. Today Girish is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Tips Industries a company with a net worth of Rs 4700 crore. A Disappointing Bollywood Career Girish Kumar son of renowned film producer Kumar S. Taurani made his Bollywood debut in 2013 with Ramaiya Vastavaiya starring opposite Shruti Haasan. His father invested heavily spending around ₹38 crore to launch him in the industry. Unfortunately the film met the same fate as his first receiving a lukewarm response from both critics and audiences. Following two back-to-back flops he decided to step away from acting altogether. A Family with a Bollywood Legacy Despite Girish’s failure as an actor his father Kumar S. Taurani played a major role in shaping the careers of Bollywood stars like Saif Ali Khan Bobby Deol Ranbir Kapoor Katrina Kaif and Ajay Devgn. He produced several hit films helping many actors achieve stardom. However even with his father’s experience and influence in the industry Girish couldn’t sustain his career as an actor. After bidding farewell to acting Girish joined his family business working with his father and uncle at Tips Industries. Today as the COO he plays a significant role in the company’s film production and music distribution. Under his leadership Tips Industries has grown exponentially making him one of the most successful business figures in the entertainment industry. Though Bollywood did not work out for him Girish Kumar has found his true calling in the business world proving that success can come in many different forms.
