At the beginning of 2025 Mahakumbh started in January and it attracted devotees from all across India. Several Bollywood personalities also visited here. One of them was actress Mamta Kulkarni who surprised everyone by taking sanyaas and now Delhi-based actress Ishika Taneja has followed the same path. During Mahakumbh 2025 she has embraced a spiritual journey. Ishika who has made a name for herself in the glamour world is now stepping away from it and embracing spirituality. Ishika Taneja who made headlines for her role in the 2017 film Indu Sarkar has now bid farewell to the glamour industry. She recently took a dip at the Mahakumbh and stated that women should not dance in short clothes. She believes that true peace in life comes from embracing spirituality. Who is Ishika Taneja? Ishika Taneja won the title of Miss World Tourism in 2018. In 2016 she was honored by the then President Pranab Mukherjee as one of the 100 successful women of India. She has also worked in Madhur Bhandarkars film Indu Sarkar and Vikram Bhatts web series Had. Additionally she holds a Guinness World Record for completing 60 full airbrush makeups on 60 models in 60 minutes. In January this year Ishika took Guru Diksha under the guidance of Shankaracharya Swami Sadanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj in Jabalpur. She stated that despite achieving name and fame she felt incomplete in life. Therefore she chose the path of spirituality in search of peace and true happiness.
