During Dubai Fashion Week 2025, Manish Malhotra debuted his much-awaited World Collection: Dubai, which celebrated India’s rich artisanal legacy with influences from throughout the world of fashion. The premier fashion extravaganza came to a fitting end with the big presentation on February 6, 2025.
The scene was prepared for a magnificent performance by renowned international models Adriana Lima and Valery Kaufman. Lima finished the show with a stunning strapless gown covered in sequins and pearls, while Kaufman began it with a spectacular column gown decorated with tassels. Their presence gave Malhotra’s opulent creations a global appeal.
Malhotra’s collection combined flowing drapes, rigid forms, and ethereal pearls with handwoven brocades and glittering sequins to appeal to contemporary, sophisticated fashion fans. A balance between heritage and modern trends was reflected in the runway’s assortment of kaftans, floor-length coats, oversized blazers, pantsuits, and abaya-inspired designs.
The designer experimented with a lavish color scheme, moving from traditional gold and silver to multicolored colors, stark neon accents, and monochromatic blacks and whites. The collection gained depth by incorporating Mocha Mousse, Pantone’s 2025 Color of the Year, into eye-catching outfits.
Famous Indian supermodels Candice Pinto, Lakshmi Rana, and Deepti Gujral, all longtime Malhotra inspirations, glistened on the catwalk. Their strong, defined shapes exuded elegance and strength, raising the showcase’s level of glitz.
A Manish Malhotra performance would not be complete without stunning jewelry. Models redefined luxury accessories for the contemporary connoisseur by donning royal haathphools, striking necklaces, and bold brooches.
Bollywood stars and industry heavyweights like Rasha Thadani, Urmila Matondkar, Vijay Varma, Malaika Arora, Sanjay Dutt, and Karan Johar adorned the front row, adding to the opulence. The star power of the event was further enhanced by their appearance.
