Young batsman Sam Konstas, who was sent home from Australia’s current tour of Sri Lanka, claimed to understand why Travis Head opened the batting at Galle and referred to the daring left-hander as the game’s legend.

Konstas was chosen for Australia’s current tour of Sri Lanka after excelling in the previous two Test matches against India, notably his explosive debut of 60 in the Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

However, he was discarded in favor of Head, who was moved up the batting order for Australia’s first victory. Konstas will now play for New South Wales in their Sheffield Shield match against Queensland at The Gabba after being ordered home before to the second game.

Being a member of the group made me feel really blessed. It goes without saying that the greatest players, such as Steve Smith, Travis Head, and Usman Khawaja, teach us how their techniques vary in such circumstances. I gained a lot of knowledge.

“I recognized the causes. It is just a fantastic learning experience for me, and I will seize the chance to work with the Test team again if it presents itself. According to a remark from Konstas on Friday, CODE Sports, “I understand why Travis Head opened the batting because he is a legend of the game and he has been dominating.”

“This is going to be my first time at the Gabba and obviously hopefully (NSW) we will build a bit of momentum and make the final,” Konstas said in reference to the opportunity to play domestic cricket.

The seam-bowling all-rounder Michael Neser, who claimed 10 wickets in Queensland’s first two Shield matches of the season before hurting his hamstring playing for Australia A against India A last year, will be in the Queensland bowling lineup against Konstas.
