In addition to a team of fully trained lifeguards, the pool also has toys and floats, a picnic area, a kiosk for snacks, drinks and ice cream, hot showers, under-cover seating areas, a playground and evening pool parties. If an evening swim isn't your preference, the lido also runs Sunday breakfast swims twice a month, where you can 'dip and dine' between 9am and 11am, with a hot butty after your paddle.

In a review on , Anya said: "A very cheerful and welcoming pool in a picturesque village. The staff/volunteers in the kiosk/tuck shop were very friendly. There are male/female changing rooms with a warm showers and toilets. No lockers, but there is a sheltered area by the pool where you can leave your belongings.

"We went on a weekday during term time and opening hours were limited 3.30pm to 6pm for a general session. It was £6 per person and we booked online via the website (I can imagine during sunny days the pool gets very busy with the campsite next door).

"There is also a learner pool with traditional fountain - fab! Pool is clean, well maintained, and the life guard was watching the chaos of kids and floats as we swam. Definitely one for family fun."

The lido is open May through September both for weekdays and weekends. Entry costs £6 per person, and a range of season and family passes are available.

The campsite provides the ideal spot to enjoy views across the Eden Valley and to the Pennines and is surrounded by peaceful fields and woodland. The small campsite features 10 pitches with electric hook-ups, shower facilities and a playground, which is a two-minute walk from the pool.

If you are staying at the campsite and want to explore slightly further afield, a mile down the road is Eden Outdoor Adventures which offers a range of activities including Ghyll Scrambling (climbing up and down mountain streams), climbing and abseiling, , via ferrata (climbing that combines hiking and scrambling on a mountain) and raft building.
