Mumbai: Swara Kokila Lata Mangeshkar has sung many immortal songs. On 6 February, Lata Mangeshkar has been able to heaven for three years. Celebrating his magnificent journey, Jabalpur artist Ramkripal Namdev carried out many incidents to Lata Mangeshkar's Zee One on the canvas. He made a beautiful painting by mixing about 1436 photos of the singer. This painting has also been recorded in the Limca Book of Records. Not only this, this painting has also found a place in the Asia Book and India Book of Records. Ramkripal Namdev told that he used to listen to Lata Mangeshkar's songs and his voice was so beautiful that he thought of making Lata Mangeshkar painting.
Ramkripal Namdev further told that he also took one of his paintings to Lata Mangeshkar. Although he could not meet the singer, he sent his painting through his secretary. The artist had told the secretary that if Lata Mangeshkar signs the painting, it would be a great pleasure, however, he refused to do so and said that the painting is so beautiful that if she signs, its beauty will be reduced. Later Ramkripal Namdev himself gave the painting singer, which he signed.
Ramkripal Namdev made paintings despite being an amateur painter. He described it as the biggest achievement of life. The artist further explained that he runs a series called 'Chitra Latika', under which an exhibition of Lata Mangeshkar's paintings has been organized in many big cities of the country. These include Jahangir Art Gallery of Mumbai, Pul Deshpande Art Gallery, Delhi's Lalit Kala Academy, Jamini Roy Art Gallery of Kolkata, Ravi Shankar Rawal Art Bhawan of Ahmedabad and Hiralal Rai Art Vivika of Jabalpur.
