In the Bundesliga, Kane propels Bayern over Bremen

February 8, Berlin In the Bundesliga, leaders Bayern Munich defeated Werder Bremen 3-0 thanks to goals from Harry Kane in the second half.

According to Xinhua, the German powerhouses seized control almost away after the game began as Jamal Musiala put goalie Michael Zetterer to the test twice.

Despite having the most possession, Bayern was unable to convert it into a lead in the first half.

Kane’s long-range effort in the 46th minute struck the crossbar as Bayern came out firing in the second half. Ten minutes later, the England striker converted a penalty for handball to open the score.

Shortly after entering the game as a replacement, Leroy Sane seized a square ball from Konrad Laimer to increase the advantage with eight minutes remaining.

In stoppage time, Kane scored his 21st goal of the season and his 29th successive penalty to give Bayern a 3-0 lead.

“We must maintain the momentum. We had plenty more opportunities to score goals. We need to maintain our concentration because we have some important games coming up,” Kane remarked.

Werder Bremen is still in ninth position, while Bayern is nine points ahead of Bayer Leverkusen, who are in second place.
