New Delhi: Sreesanth is currently in the spotlight. Once feared by the worlds top batsmen for his lethal bowling he has now received a show-cause notice. As a member of the World Cup-winning team Sreesanths career has been marred by controversies. After being implicated in the IPL spot-fixing scandal he ventured into reality shows movies and politics but did not receive the same affection in these fields as he did in cricket. Following the spot-fixing allegations the BCCI imposed a lifetime ban on him which was later reduced to seven years. His wife Bhuvaneshwari Kumari played a crucial role in helping him through these challenging times standing by him despite the circumstances. Sreesanth considers his wife a strong pillar of support off the field. Their first meeting took place at her school when Sreesanth was invited as the chief guest in Jaipur. Indian cricketer S Sreesanths wife Bhuvneshwari Kumari shared their love story during an interview with an FM channel in Mumbai. She recounted that Sreesanth visited her school as a chief guest alongside Shoaib Akhtar. Bhuvneshwari mentioned that his presence made all the girls at school excited. Initially she did not find him appealing. However the following day they saw each other at the stadium and later they met at the dining table. Bhuvneshwari revealed that Sreesanth asked for her phone number but she declined to share it. Subsequently he wrote his number on a tissue paper and handed it to her as he left telling her that she could call him if he performed well. Bhuvaneshwari Kumari mentioned in an interview that her cousin had a liking for Sreesanth. Her cousin asked her to take his number and pass it along. The phone numbers Sreesanth had were mostly filled with zeros. Bhuvaneshwaris friends suggested that the number was fake. To uncover the truth Bhuvaneshwari decided to dial the number which led to conversations between the two. After winning the World Cup in 2011 Sreesanth visited Bhuvaneshwaris home to ask for her hand in marriage. After dating for six years Sreesanth and Bhuvaneshwari got married in 2013. A few years ago Sreesanth shared details about his love story in an interview. He mentioned that it was love at first sight for him although she was just a schoolgirl at the time. He realized his feelings for her and fell in love after the World Cup victory when he visited her home. However it took two years for them to get married. During that same year Sreesanths name was linked to a spot-fixing scandal which made him uncertain about whether it was the right time to marry. Despite these challenges Bhuvaneshwaris family came to Kochi and informed him that she was ready for marriage. At that moment Sreesanths mother encouraged him to move forward in life leading to their wedding. Bhuvaneshwari Kumari hails from a royal family in Diwanpura Alwar and according to media reports she works as a jewelry designer. The couple is now parents to two children a son named Suryashri and a daughter named Shreyashri.
