After joining PSG in 2023, the Spaniard thanked the team for believing in him and reaffirmed his dedication to success and further development.

“The club has given us everything from day one, and the encouragement just motivates me to keep working and becoming better. After PSG defeated Monaco 4-1 on Friday, Luis Enrique told reporters, “As a coaching staff, we want to make history here.”

“How long I’ll be here is unknown to me. Why create boundaries for yourself when you are content with your current situation and sense the trust of people around you? He went on. “I am very happy for that support, and I hope to repay it with hard work, though I don’t know if that will always translate into results.”

Luis Enrique denied that PSG’s resounding victory was their finest of the season, even though it prolonged their winning streak in Ligue 1 and gave them a 13-point lead at the top of the rankings. He noted that there were difficulties throughout the game, especially in the closing minutes.

We didn’t play our best game, in my opinion. We had some issues and failed to take the ball away from Monaco, so I didn’t like the final ten to fifteen minutes,” he remarked. It was hard to apply pressure on them in the first half since it was so evenly distributed. We were able to inflict more damage in the second half, and ultimately, we were worthy of winning. But, as usual, it was very hard to defeat Monaco.

PSG will meet another Ligue 1 team, Brest, on Tuesday as they turn their attention to the Champions League knockout stages after maintaining their domestic supremacy. PSG missed out on an automatic berth in the round of 16, but Luis Enrique thinks the difficulties have made his team stronger as they aim to win their first Champions League championship.

“We’ve experienced everything. All of those vulnerable times when only our supporters had faith in us are fantastic today because they have helped us grow as a young squad,” Luis Enrique said. “Our war will never end. This season, we want to strive to create history by fighting until the very end of every tournament.
