There is big news for the students preparing for the medical entrance exam. The National Testing Agency has opened the registration window for NEET UG-2025. Students can register in online mode on the website neet.nta.nic.in. You can apply from 7 February to 7 March. The exam will be held on 4 May.

Registration Process

Go to the official website of NEET neet.nta.nic.in.

Click on the NEET UG 2025 Registration link.

Submit after filling in the required information for new registration.

Complete the application after getting the login credentials.

Upload the required documents in the prescribed format.

Take a printout after depositing the fee online.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit: The age of the candidate should be at least 17 years as of 31 December 2025. There is no maximum age limit.
Education: It is necessary to pass the 12th class or its equivalent examination (with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English).

Exam Pattern

There will be 180 multiple-choice questions. It will have
45 questions in Physics, 45 in Chemistry, and 90 in Biology (Botany and Zoology).

Total marks: 720

4 marks will be given for every correct answer. Whereas 1 mark will be deducted for the wrong answer. For more information, you can check the official website neet.nta.nic.in.

Apaar ID is not required for registration.

NTA earlier used to say that Apaar ID is mandatory for NEET UG 2025 registration. However, now it has been made clear that Apaar ID is not necessary for registration. The exam will be held in offline mode. NEET UG scores are used for admission to other medical UG courses including MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, BSc Nursing, BVSc and AH.

What is Apaar ID

Apaar ID is a unique education ID. It has been implemented by the Ministry of Education under the National Education Policy 2020. It is also known as One Nation One Student ID. The purpose of implementing it is to keep a record of education details. So that a record of students' details from school to higher education can be maintained. Also, the education system has to be made digital.
