The incident is from Dubagga police station area. According to DCP West Vishwajeet Srivastava, the accused Sonu killed the girl after falling into black magic. During police interrogation, he said that 4 months ago he met a tantric without limbs. He had said that if you sacrifice a child, you will remain young forever. Your masculine strength will increase. Sonu then kidnapped an 8-year-old girl, performed puja and tied a sacred thread and then killed the girl. After police interrogation, he went home and hanged himself.
Sonu is originally from Hardoi. He lived in a rented house under Amrapali Yojana in Lucknow. Sonu's wife Jugnu told the police that her husband was given Jinnad by a Tantrik.
