PM Kisan Scheme

PM Kisan is a central scheme with 100 percent funding from the Government of India. The amount is transferred directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. Under the scheme, a direct payment of Rs 6,000 is transferred in three equal installments of Rs 6,000 per year. This means that Rs 2,000 each is transferred to the accounts of eligible farmers. Farmers need to have eKYC for this scheme. This can be done to ensure that fake people are not getting the benefit of PM Kisan Yojana. Also, farmers should get the direct benefit of this scheme without the involvement of any middleman.

Methods of eKYC

OTP based e-KYC (available on PM-Kisan portal and mobile app), Biometric based e-KYC (available at Common Service Center (CSC) and State Service Centers (SSK)) Face authentication-based e-KYC (available on PM Kisan mobile app which is used by millions of farmers) Farmers can get their eKYC done by choosing any one of these three options.

How to register for PM Kisan Yojana?

Eligible beneficiaries must provide an Aadhaar card, proof of citizenship, provide documents that prove they own land, provide their bank account details, and complete the e-KYC process. To register for the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, eligible farmers can visit the PM-Kisan portal and register online. Or visit their nearest Common Service Center (CSC).
