is set to be a thrilling spectacle, with the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles going head-to-head at Ceasars Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday, February 9.

Adding to the excitement, the halftime show will feature a performance by renowned hip-hop artist Kendrick Lamar.

Music fans are particularly looking forward to the halftime show, which will see 17-time Grammy Award winner Lamar and R&B sensation SZA take to the stage, thanks to Apple Music. While Lamar has yet to disclose his setlist, it's anticipated that he'll perform popular hits such as Not Like Us, HUMBLE, and Alright.

For those eager to catch Lamar's performance, questions have arisen about when exactly the Super Bowl halftime show will take place. Typically, the halftime show happens during the brief intermission between the first and second halves of the game.

Each half of the game comprises two 15-minute quarters. However, the actual duration of the game can fluctuate due to timeouts and commercial breaks.

On average, each quarter lasts around 45 minutes. With kickoff scheduled for 11.30pm GMT, it's expected that the halftime show, and Lamar's headline performance, will commence at approximately 1.15am GMT.

As for the length of the Super Bowl halftime show, it's worth noting that while a standard NFL halftime lasts 12 to 14 minutes, additional time is allocated for the special halftime show. This allows for the setup, the performance itself, and the takedown.

Despite the usual time limit for Super Bowl halftime shows, Lamar is expected to perform for less than 15 minutes. This follows last year's record-breaking performance by Usher, who held the stage for 13 minutes at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas - the longest Super Bowl halftime show ever, even though he had negotiated a 15-minute slot.

So, what can we expect from Lamar's performance during the big game? And which team will emerge victorious and take home the coveted Super Bowl title? Will Lamar choose to perform his contentious track Not Like Us, a diss track aimed at industry rival, Drake?

The Chiefs are certainly hoping to make history with a first-ever Super Bowl three-peat as they face off against the Eagles.
