While it collected Rs 511 crore in India it made a staggering Rs 1305 crore in China. Giving tough competition to Dangal was Allu Arjuns Pushpa 2 which became the highest-grossing film in India in 2024. However did you know that there is one film that earned Rs 7000 crore in just 9 days? The movie has taken China by storm. You will be amazed to know that the film was released on January 29 and in just 7 days it made record-breaking earnings. The film we are talking about is Ne Zha 2. So far Ne Zha 2 has earned 580 crore Chinese Yuan which is approximately Rs 7000 crore in Indian currency. The film shattered all box office records during the Lunar New Year holiday and continues to set new benchmarks daily. It has also become the highest-grossing film in the country. Released on January 29 the film had a blockbuster opening raking in $68 million. In just seven days it amassed an astonishing $666 million—an amount so massive that even major films pale in comparison. The first part of Ne Zha was released in 2019 and earned $722.5 million. It also surpassed Star Wars: The Force Awakens which took 18 days to reach a similar box office milestone in the U.S. Now with Ne Zha 2 the Chinese box office is once again shaken. The films earnings are expected to rise even further.
