Viewers watching on tonight were appalled to see two contestants get axed in one of the easiest rounds so far.
The game show tests players on their intelligence by posing them questions that increase in difficulty, until only the smartest one percent of the public would be able to answer them.
Tonight audience members were quizzed on their ability to spell by with a query about which of three words still makes sense spelled backwards.
Fans of the show were certain that no one would answer the question incorrectly because it was so easy to figure out.
However, much to their surprise, two people were eliminated during that round.
Players were asked: "Which of these does not make a word when the letters are placed in reverse order?"
The three options were stun, dust, and snub. Audience members thought it would be clear that stun and snub were the only correct answers as they spell nuts and buns when back to front.
However, two contestants seemed to misunderstand the question. Alina was one of the people who got the answer wrong, and explained that she thought they were being asked about anagrams. She pointed out that dust can be rejigged to spell stud.
Despite Alina clarifying her thought process, viewers were still shocked that it was possible to mess up on such an easy round.
One person took to social media to complain in a strongly worded tweet, asking: "How the fudge do you get that wrong?"
Another added: "You are joking me, two got that wrong, rolling on the floor laughing." A third giggled: "Stud, there had to be one."
Alina admitted that her sister was another of the contestants on the show at the same time of her, and she was embarrassed to have gotten the boot before her family member did.
She then got her own back when her sister lost only a few rounds later. The gleeful woman told show host Lee: "I'm kind of happy now she's out. She can pay for dinner tonight because she got further than me. It's a win win."
