New Delhi: Indias fourth-largest telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has been working relentlessly to strengthen its network. BSNL has already deployed 65000 4G sites nationwide and has now launched an additional 5000 sites in Kerala. Moreover BSNLs 4G tariffs are among the lowest in the world. The company is currently working on 1 lakh sites with a target of reaching 1 lakh 4G sites soon. According to the reports the company is also working on several other initiatives. BSNL is continuously making efforts to expand its network. In many regions across the country BSNL is considering launching new sites. It is important to note that BSNL will soon reach 1 lakh 4G sites. BSNL Begins Work BSNL will soon start working on setting up its 5G network after deploying 1 lakh 4G sites. The Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will reportedly help BSNL in this initiative. With Tata’s support BSNL aims to upgrade its 4G network to 5G. Through software upgrades BSNL is transforming its 4G network into a 5G network. Additionally BSNL is rolling out 5G NSA across the country similar to Airtel. Meanwhile BSNL is conducting testing for 5G SA. However it has not been fully launched yet. The company is currently reviewing the tender. 5G SA testing is underway in Delhi.
