New Delhi: Pakistans explosive opener Fakhar Zaman is closing in on surpassing Saeed Anwar on a prestigious list. Under the leadership of Mohammad Rizwan Pakistan is preparing to take on New Zealand and South Africa in a Tri-Series on home ground. The series will kick off with Pakistan facing the BlackCaps in Lahore on February 8.
Fakhar Zaman Aims to Break Saeed Anwars Record vs NZ
Pakistans dynamic opener Fakhar Zaman made his highly anticipated ODI return after an ankle injury led to the exclusion of the in-form Saim Ayub. The seasoned batter has been exceptional in ODIs scoring 3492 runs in 81 innings with an impressive average of 46.56 and a strike rate of 93.44. Now he is eyeing to surpass Saeed Anwars record in the upcoming series against New Zealand.

Anwar who was the pillar of Pakistans batting in the 90s scored four ODI centuries against New Zealand. Interestingly Fakhar has also notched up four centuries against the Kiwis in ODI cricket making this a highly anticipated battle for the record.
