Another Sudden Heart Attack Death: Chennai Man Dies While Celebrating Friend's Cricket Match Win
Chennai: A joyful celebration turned tragic on Saturday evening in Chennai when a 25-year-old man collapsed and died at YMCA Grounds in Nandanam while cheering for his friend’s victory at a cricket game, as per a TOI report.
The victim, Karthik, originally from Kallidaikurichi in Tirunelveli, had been living and working in Chennai for the past three years as an employee of a private computer company in Koyambedu, according to the report. He shared a rented flat with friends in Thyagaraya Nagar.
Karthik was attending a cricket tournament for company employees at the YMCA Grounds, where his friend’s team won after a hard-fought match. As the group danced in celebration, Karthik suddenly experienced breathing difficulties, collapsed, and became unconscious.
His friends rushed him to a nearby private hospital, but doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
Karthik reportedly had a history of respiratory distress and seizures since childhood, which may have contributed to the incident. Similarly, a 23-year-old woman collapsed and died while dancing at a wedding in Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh, on Saturday.
Parinita Jain, a resident of Indore, was attending her cousin's wedding at a resort when tragedy struck. She was performing on stage during the
haldi ceremony, joyfully dancing to the Bollywood song "Lehra Ke Balkha Ke," when she suddenly collapsed in front of the guests.
A video of the incident, now viral on social media, captures the young woman dancing before unexpectedly falling to the floor.
Parinita was rushed to a private hospital immediately, but despite efforts by doctors, she was pronounced dead upon arrival. The incident has left family and friends in shock as they mourn the sudden loss.
