Arushi Nishank An upcoming actress recently filed a case against Mumbai producers for allegedly scamming her for several crores. This case has brought the former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank from Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) is in the headlines again but not for political reasons. Arushi Nishank has worked with Mirzapur famed Divyenndu in her latest OTT series. Who is Arushi Nishank? Arushi Nishank is a Kathak dancer TEDx speaker environmentalist and an actor. She rose to fame after her music video Wafa Na Raas Aaye by Jubin Nautiyal went viral and garnered over 318 million views. She is a social activist who dedicated to causes such as preserving the river Ganga through her NGO Sparsh Ganga. She stepped in the industry and established Himshrri Films as a film producer. Her latest OTT series Life Life Hill Gayi streams on Disney Hotstar featuring Divyenndu Sharma Mukti Mohan Vinay Pathak Kusha Kapila among others. On December 16 she shared a post on her social media account where she was seen present current Uttarakhand Chief Minister a bouquet along with Vikrant Massey for their upcoming film Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan.   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Aarushi Nishank (@arushi.nishank) Arushi Nishak Scam Case Atfer her post shared in December that stated her presence in the film as an actor fast forward to February 9 2025 the actress accused the producers of Aankhon Ki Gustakhiya - Mansi Varun Bagla and Varun Pramod Kumar Bagla - of fraud. She filed a First Information Report (FIR) against their production house Mini Films Private Limited allegeing  a scam of nearly Rs 4 crore rupess in lieu of a pivotal character in the film that also features Shanaya Kapoor. Nishank alleges that the producers approached  her for a role in the filming on the pretext of Rs 5 crore investment in the project reported The Indian Express. They assured me that this investment would entitle my firm to a 20 percent profit share estimated to be over Rs 15 crore” IE quoted Nishank. The complaint filed by the actress further stated the she was assured a return of her said investment incase she was unsatisfied with her role. “They demanded another instalment of Rs 2 crore from my firm without fulfilling their previous commitments. On February 5 I realised their fraud when I was informed through their representative that the film’s shooting in India was completed and the remaining shoot would be done in Europe. He also said another actress had been selected for my role” Arushi said. She has also claimed to be threatened and mocked of her Garhwali background. However Varun Bagla claimed that it was a false allegation and it was she who approached them for work in small capacity in exchange of Himshree Productions investing in the film. As per the producer she later started threatening for a bigger role. Currently an investigation is underway by the Dehradun Police.
