Lao Dong Newspaper reported that based on a survey from Chinese media outlet 163which relied on social media user votes, Zhao’s ascent to the top was unexpected. She overtook numerous established senior actresses, claiming the top spot through a wealth of advertising contracts, brand endorsements, and roles as a spokesperson. Prominent brands she represents include Versace, Bulgari, and Guerlain.
Described by Chinese media as possessing a pure and innocent appearance, at 27, Zhao has captured the spotlight through her performances in “The Romance of Tiger and Rose,” “Dating in the Kitchen,” and “Love Like the Galaxy.” She has risen to stardom among actresses born in 1995 and later.
With her rising fame, Zhao has attracted more brand partnerships. In 2024, she secured over 20 contracts with various brands, leading in both quantity and quality.
Yang Mi follows Zhao, ranking second with endorsements for high-end brands such as Estee Lauder, Loewe, Skechers, Rubinstein, Miss Sixty, and Guvet.
The list continues with Dilraba Dilmurat, Liu Shishi, Liu Yifei, Yang Zi, Guan Xiaotong, Zhao Liying, Bai Lu, and Esther Yu in the subsequent rankings.
Despite Zhao’s numerous contracts, some critics argue that she has not yet earned the top ranking, pointing out her lack of advertisements in the highly esteemed phone and car sectors, which reflect the stature and influence of actresses.
