Chikkamagaluru: Two men lost their lives after their motorcycle crashed into a tree near Tamatadahalli Gate in Ajjampura taluk on Tuesday.

The deceased have been identified as Pratap (28) and Govinda (30), residents of Baggavalli village in Ajjampura taluk. The duo was reportedly on their way to attend the historic Antaraghatte fair when the accident occurred.

Preliminary reports suggest that the bike was being ridden at high speed, leading to the crash.

A case has been registered at the Ajjampura police station, and an investigation is underway.
