Lottie Moss has courageously discussed her previous struggles with addiction and depression, speaking candidly about how joining the cast of Celebrity Bear Hunt stopped her from entering rehab once more.

On the second episode of the Netflix series, the model and Celebs Go Dating personality shared her emotional journey with other stars, confessing: "You become quite numb, I didn't feel anything, I didn't care whether pretty much, I lived or died."

She continued to speak on the pivotal moment before entering the show, stating: "I would've gone into the ground and my mum said, 'You need to go to rehab.' It made me feel better but it didn't really work."

Holding back tears, Lottie admitted: "I'm not gonna lie to you guys, before coming in here, I was about to go to rehab again," prompting an outpouring of support from her castmates.

After her impressive run to the final five and subsequent departure from the show, Lottie reflected on her time there during her exit interview. She unveiled her feelings, saying: "As with mental health you get yourself into a state - when it rains it pours. I definitely just needed a sense of purpose, I needed to feel inspired again about life."

Moss discussed the effects of mental health issues, noting: "The thing with depression and anxiety is when you don't feel inspired you don't feel like you want to do anything, everything in you just crashes and dies. That spark just gets put out."

Finishing on a positive note, she credited Celebrity Bear Hunt for reigniting her passion for life and helping her rediscover the drive to move forward confidently, reports .

She continued: "So when you do things like this, it reignites that fire of, 'Oh my god I have things to live for,' the adrenaline feels great and you feel emotions again.

"A lot of the time with my depression I feel nothing. I feel numb and that's a very dangerous state to be in. And that's the reason I took myself there last time as well. I just couldn't get out of bed."

Charging through the 'Bear Pit' and abseiling down cliffs gave the reality star the buzz she craved, making her feel like a "badass".

Lottie made it to the final five alongside Una Healy, Steph McGovern, Big Zuu and Kola Bokkini, but during the intense last Bear Pit challenge, she was caught by Bear Grylls himself.

While Steph, Una and Big Zuu all managed to evade capture and escape, it was ultimately Big Zuu who was crowned by Bear as the champion of the inaugural series on Netflix.
