Netflix's newest competition series sees 12 celebrities thrust into the Costa Rican jungle for an experience they'll never forget and after weeks of gruelling challenges, one famous face has been crowned the champion.

Five celebrities made it to the final, namely rapper and chef Big Zuu, The Saturdays star Una Healy, model Lottie Moss, Journalist Steph McGovern and actor Kola Bokkini.

Following a terrifying final 'Bear Pit', only Big Zuu, Una and Steph managed to escape, which meant Lottie and Kola were given their marching orders.

The man himself, Bear Grylls then had to decide who was a worthy champion before revealing it was Big Zuu (real name Zuhair Hassan), who had won and awarded him with his very own rope as a prize.

Speaking in his post-exit interview, the star expressed: "It feels incredible. I’m very happy. It’s been a long journey, a lot of ups and downs but I’m happy that I made it."

Big Zuu went on to reveal what he plans to do with his prized possession from Bear and what the prize means to him.

He continued: "I’m going to hang it up in my house with the carabiner that I got as my final tool. So, it might not mean a lot to people when they walk in my house, but it will mean a lot to me."

Big Zuu admitted that the experience has allowed him to grow as a person as well as connecting with things that matter.

"As a whole it’s been really, really good in terms of growth, learning, and disconnecting from the outside . Time goes so slow in there but not in a bad way," the chef divulged.

"You can reconnect with the world, wake up to the sunrise, eat food at sunset, not really care about what time it is, not caring about what’s going on in the world, reflecting on stuff every day, connecting with new people. A lot of good, good moments in that."

As he revealed the winner, Bear gushed: "One person stands out in terms of positivity, relentlessly giving their everything, in terms of calm under pressure, having that never giving up attitude and in terms of finishing this adventure strong.

"And that winner is Big Zuu," he revealed before everybody hugged him and celebrated around the campfire.
