There is good news for the youth dreaming of a government job in the police department. Punjab Police has issued a notification to fill 1746 vacant posts of constable. According to the notification issued for the recruitment, the application process for this recruitment will be started on February 21. What is the qualification?
To apply for Punjab Police Constable posts, the candidate must have passed 10+2 (12th) class from a recognized board. Ex-servicemen must pass 10th class. Along with this, the minimum age of the candidate should not be more than 18 years and the maximum age should not be more than 28 years. Candidates coming from reserved categories will be given relaxation in upper age as per rules.

It will be necessary to deposit the category-wise prescribed fee along with the application. The application fee has been fixed at Rs 1150 for the general category, Rs 650 for the SC/ST/BC/OBC (only for Punjab state) category, and Rs 500 for ex-servicemen of Punjab. How will the selection be done?
To be selected for this recruitment, the candidates will first have to go through the written examination. The candidates who will get the prescribed cutoff marks in the written test will have to appear in the next stage of recruitment, the Physical Screening Test (PST) and, Physical Measurement Test (PMT).
